Lectures slated in Fort Plain


FORT PLAIN — The Fort Plain Museum us announcing the return of its Fall Lecture Series. Each lecture begins at 7 p.m., and there is a suggested $5 donation to be made at the door.

On Thursday, Nov. 1, Terry McMaster will discuss Scots-Irish immigrations and the defense of the colonial New York frontier. Special attention will be paid to the Cherry Valley Massacre.

On. Thursday, Nov. 8, Larry Arnold will discuss the fate of the British forces that surrendered to the continental army at Saratoga.

On Thursday, Nov. 15, Edward G. Lengel will discuss “the American way of war,” from the War of Independence to World War I.
