Lawmakers to host info event for high schoolers on military academies

Rep. Claudia Tenney, R-22, New Hartford, along with U.S. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand and Reps. Elise Stefanik, R-21; and John Katko, R-24, will host their annual Academy Night, virtually, for any high school student in New York’s 22nd District who is interested in learning more about the U.S. Service Academies and the congressional nomination process. 

Academy Night, which kicks off at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 28, is open to all students in grades 9 to 12 who reside in New York’s 22nd Congressional District. 

Any student who is interested in attending must RSVP before Monday, Sept. 27, to receive the login information.

Details for the meeting will be shared via email with those who RSVP. To RSVP to Academy Night, email: syracuse@gillibrand.senate.gov.
