OLD FORGE — Vocalist Julie Falatico and pianist Rick Montalbano bring The Great American Songbook to life as they perform standards from Cole Porter to Burt Bacharach.
The husband-and-wife duo will transport audiences through time as they apply years of experience, musicianship, and creativity to a century of great music during the final free Concert in the Courtyard of the season from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 31, at View, 3273 State Route 28.
Some of the songs they will perform include “Alfie,” “Walk on By,” “Night and Day,” “The Best Is Yet to Come,” “The Days of Wine and Roses,” and “Day In, Day Out.”
Montalbano is a keyboardist, composer, arranger, and jazz educator and has played with a virtual who’s who of the jazz and entertainment world.
Sammy Award nominee Falatico began her musical pursuits in Los Angeles and Cleveland, singing with some of the country’s best musicians before returning to her roots in Upstate New York.
All Concerts in the Courtyard happen rain or shine. Chairs will be provided, but feel free to bring your own chair or blanket.
Admission is free.
A cash bar will be available at all performances.
