Kirkland Seniors to host Dine-Around and other events

CLARK MILLS — Kirkland Senior Center, 2 Mill St., will host its next Dine-Around event at Creekside Cafe on Oneida Street in Washington Mills at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 10.

Other events happening at Kirkland Senior Center:

• Meetings are held every Tuesday.

• Bingo and pool are played at 9:30 a.m.

• Bone Health exercise is from 11:15-11:45 a.m.

• Lunch is served at noon.

Lunch menus for January:

Jan. 8: Oven roasted chicken, stuffing, Hubbard squash, whole wheat bread, and fruit cup. There will be a council meeting at 11 a.m. with speaker Carol Mettleman from the Office for the Aging Healthy New York.

Jan. 15: Macaroni and cheese, stewed tomatoes, whole wheat bread and apricots. There will be a 50/50 raffle.

Jan. 22: Chicken Parmesan with oven potatoes, Italian green beans, Italian bread and chocolate pudding.

Jan. 29: Covered dish, birthday cupcakes and a 50/50 raffle. Barbara Paquette-Cornell will also speak.

All lunches are served with milk. Coffee is available, and water is 25 cents.

Birthdays being celebrated in January: Judy Logan, Jan. 2; Chuck Horner, Jan. 4; Fran Zyla, Jan. 11; John Fukes, Jan. 16; Joan Scoones, Jan. 24; Joanne Stone, Jan. 24; and Donn Yando, Jan. 25.
