Kirkland Senior Center announces upcoming events

CLARK MILLS — The Kirkland Senior Center, 2 Mill St., is now open on Tuesdays.

Activities include bingo at 9:30 a.m., as well as pool downstairs. An exercise class will be held from 11:15-11:45 a.m. There will be coffee, tea and water available — there is a 25 cent charge for water.

Tonight, Feb. 22, there will be a covered dish meal with guest speaker Carol Nettleton.

Starting March 1 the center will offer Hamburger and Hot Dog lunch for $5. And on March 15 there will be a Corned Beef and Cabbage Luncheon, courtesy of The Grand.

Looking ahead to summer, the center is planning speakers, entertainment and the annual Lions Club sponsored picnic at the Clinton Fire House. A bowling team is being formed, and maybe a golf team.

“We have a cozy library filled with both paperback and hardcover books, and also many, many puzzles,” center officials noted. “We hope that you will join us for some much needed socialization, relaxation and fun.”

For more information contact the center’s new director, Jim Nolan, at 315-941-5323.
