ROME — A 30-year-old woman is accused of stealing another woman's car keys during an argument, according to the Rome Police Department.

Police said Angela L. Gonzalez, 30, of Rome, was in a fight with another woman in the 400 block of S. James Street shortly before 8 p.m. May 15. Gonzalez was taken into custody on a charge of disorderly conduct and was processed at the police station on North James Street, authorities stated.

After being released from the station, police said Gonzalez got into an argument with a different woman directly outside the station. During this argument, police said the other woman accidentally dropped her keys. Police said Gonzalez grabbed the keys and left in a vehicle that came to pick her up.

A warrant was issued for Gonzalez on a charge of petty larceny, police said. She was located and taken into custody on the warrant on Thursday. Gonzalez is scheduled to appear in Rome City Court.
