MOHAWK VALLEY — Keep Mohawk Valley Beautiful (KMVB), an affiliate of Keep America Beautiful, will be hosting a pair of local kick-off events — among six to take place across the region — in partnership with local municipalities, sponsors and stakeholders.

The local events will be hosted by several local leaders who will present on the environmental and economic impact of maintaining a clean environment. The event is intended to bring awareness and drive Team Registration to host a clean-up starting Earth Day, April 22, through July 31. Attending the kick-off will also be an opportunity for teams already registered to pick up supplies for their clean-up events.

Registered teams, community members and KMVB volunteers are encouraged to join either of the following area events:

Tuesday April 18

• 10 a.m. — Bellamy Harbor; 139 E. Whitesboro St., Rome.
• 2 p.m. — BME/Hummels; 5 Ann St., Mohawk.
