Judging this weekend in Oneida Light Fight

ONEIDA — Oneida’s third annual Light Fight has turned the city into a spooky place perfect for Halloween.

This year’s Halloween Light Fight has seen residents competing for the spookiest house in the city. Judging takes place on Sunday, Oct. 30. The deadline to enter is today at 5 p.m. (Saturday, Oct. 29). All entries should be emailed to OneidaLightFight@gmail.com and include the applicant’s name and address.

Below is a list of some of the homes in the city of Oneida competing in the 2022 Halloween Light Fight.

  • 401 Oxford St.
  • 333 Stone St.
  • 362 Stone St.
  • 605 Stone St.
  • 343 Cleveland Ave.
  • 533 Cleveland Ave.
  • 228 Belmont Ave.
  • 258 Belmont Ave.
  • 546 Main St.
  • 566 Main St.
  • 308 West Elm St.
  • 1 Steuben Place
  • 77 State St.
  • 208 Almond St.

The winner of the 2020 and 2021 Halloween Light Fight was Earl Scribner of 219 Farrier Avenue. This year, Scribner is a judge for the light fight.

The winner of this year’s Halloween Light Fight will win an award and have the choice to be a judge in next year’s Light Fight. This is to ensure there’s a different winner each year.
