Judd’s double-double leads unbeaten CVA over Camden
Junior Deacon Judd scored 31 points and had 15 rebounds for a double-double in unbeaten Central Valley Academy’s 89-70 road win against Camden Thursday in the Tri-Valley League
CVA’s Jaylon O’Neal scored 26 and dished out nine assists. TJ Luke and CJ Judd scored 14 each.
Connor Dean led Camden with 27 points including seven three-pointers. Brian Gonzalez chipped in 16 points.
CVA (18-0) played at Holland Patent in the TVL Friday. Results were not available at press time.
Camden (12-5) played at Vernon-Verona-Sherrill Friday in the TVL. Results were not available at press time.
Waterville wins in OT
Natalie Collins led Waterville with 28 points, 19 rebounds and eight blocks in a 58-51 overtime win against visiting Mount Markham in the Center State Conference.
Waterville trailed 24-18 at the half but outscored Mount Markham by five to tie headed into the fourth quarter. Both teams scored 12 in the fourth and the game went to overtime, where Waterville had the edge 10-2.
Adrienne Neff added 16 points, including five three-pointers for Waterville.
Jenna Kocienda led Mount Markham with 18 points.
Waterville (10-9) ends the regular season at at Richfield Springs at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
Mount Markham (10-8) plays at Westmoreland at 10 a.m. today.
Clinton wins in comeback fashion over VVS
The Clinton girls basketball team overcame a 33-27 third quarter deficit to win 45-44 at home over Vernon-Verona-Sherrill in non-league play.
Abby Hemstrought had 21 points for Clinton. Elise Mazloom scored eight and had 18 rebounds. Eva Gaetano contributed nine points.
VVS statistics were not submitted.
Clinton (7-10) hosts Mount Markham at 7 p.m. on Monday.
VVS (3-14) played at Camden in the TVL on Friday. Results were not available at press time.
Van Olst drops 24 points for Dolgeville
Kerisa Van Olst scored 24 to help the Dolgeville girls basketball team get a 60-50 home win over Canastota in the Center State.
Payton Comstock scored 15 and grabbed 14 rebounds for Dolgeville and Alexandria Comstock scored 10.
Emma Wood had a game-high 26 points for Canastota. Juliana Dimao had 11 points and Alex Richie had 10.
Dolgeville (12-6) plays at Frankfort-Schuyler at 7 p.m. Monday in the league.
Canastota (5-14) hosts Herkimer at 7 p.m. Monday in the league to end the regular season.
Mounties notch home win
The Little Falls girls basketball team won 56-40 at home over Frankfort-Schuyler Thursday in the Center State.
The Mounties used a 23-point second quarter to grab a 32-15 halftime lead.
Alexis Kress had a game-high 18 points for Little Falls with eight rebounds. Adrianna Izzo had 13 points and Makaylah Mowers had 12.
Madison Kelly and Madelyne Reid scored 10 each for Frankfort.
Little Falls (10-9) ends its regular season hosting Poland at 7 p.m. Monday in the league.
Frankfort (3-16) wraps up the regular season hosting Dolgeville at 7 p.m. Monday in the league.
Sauquoit falls to Sherburne
The Sauquoit Valley girls basketball lost 42-36 to visiting Sherburne-Earlville Thursday in the Center State.
Hannah Todd-Rogers had 10 points and 12 rebounds for a double-double in the win. Teammate Chesnee Miller scored 10.
Alaina Weaver led Sauquoit with 15 points. Makayla Land had 10 points and 17 rebounds for a double-double.
Sauquoit was 0-20 this season.
