Jervis offers reading contest

Posted

With help from the Wednesday Night Doll Makers, Jervis Public Library, 613 N. Washington St., is offering children a chance to win either a Barbie doll or miniature American Girl doll, including pioneer clothing and accessories.

The doll’s clothing is hand sewn to resemble the clothing worn by characters from the Little House on the Prairie books.

The program will run now through Friday, Aug. 30. Participants can register in the Children’s Room or at the Information Desk.

For every five books read this summer, participants earn one chance to win one of the dolls.  All formats, including print, audio, and electronic count. The more children read, the more chances they have to win.

The prize drawing will take place on Friday, Aug. 30.

For more information, visit the library’s Children’s Room or stop by the Information Desk.
