ROME — Jervis Public Library, 613 N. Washington St., has announced the following events for next week:
- All week: adult Winter Reading Challenge;
- Monday, Feb. 6, Free children’s Craft Kits available; 10 a.m., Tai Chi class; 4 p.m., Maker Monday, teen program; 5:30 p.m., Drop-In Digital Literacy Assistance with Literacy CNY volunteer;
- Tuesday, Feb. 7, 5 p.m., Mahjong for Beginners; 5 p.m., National Send a Card to a Friend Day, children’s event;
- Wednesday, Feb. 8, 10:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., Story Time with Ms. Emily; 6 p.m., Fraud Workshop (adult program) with Mary Chmielewski and Adrianne Plumley from Berkshire Bank — a presentation about avoiding fraud and potential scams;
- Thursday, Feb. 9, noon, Mid-Day Mystery Book Discussion — “In the Heat of the Night”; 4:30 p.m., board meeting;
- Friday, Feb. 10, 3 p.m., Free Play Friday for teens;
- Saturday, Feb. 11, 10:30 a.m., Crochet and Knitting Group; noon, Drop-In Digital Literacy Assistance with Literacy CNY volunteer.
The library is open 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday to Thursday; 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Friday; and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
