Jervis library hosts author talk with Vincent Palmieri May 19

ROME — Jervis Public Library, 613 N. Washington St., will host an author talk with Vincent Palmieri at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 19.

Palmieri and Ruth Morgan will discuss his book, “Ruthie Deeply,” and her story of overcoming difficulties in the state’s foster care system. Copies of the book will be available for purchase and signing after the talk.

-Tuesday, May 17, 5 p.m., Unplug & Play Game Night;

-Wednesday, May 18, 10:30 a.m., Story Time with Ms. Emily; 4:30 p.m., Virtual Teen Event: Science, build a robot hand, registration required;

-Thursday, May 19, 6:30 p.m., Evening Story Time with Ms. Emily;

-Friday, May 20, 2:30 p.m., In-Person Teen Event: Free Play Friday.

Community garden

It’s time to fill our community garden! Registration runs through May 31. Each participant or family will get their own raised garden bed and their choice of seeds and plants from our selection. Space is limited and plots are given on a first come, first serve basis. Planting will begin at the end of May and continue for a week into June.
