Jervis hosts book signing, After Hours Game Day


ROME — Jervis Public Library, 613 N. Washington St., has announced the following events for next week:

  • Daily: Children’s Halloween Coloring Contest;
  • Monday, Oct. 10, closed for Columbus Day;
  • Tuesday, Oct. 11, Free children’s craft kits available; 4 p.m., Drop in Homework Help Hour; 6:30 p.m., Reading and book signing by Eric C. Gray, author of “Backyards to Ballparks”;
  • Wednesday, Oct. 12, 10:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., Story Time with Ms. Emily, children’s program;
  • Thursday, Oct. 13, noon, Mid-Day Mystery Book Discussion, “The Woman in the Library” by Sulari Gentill; 4:30 p.m., board meeting;
  • Friday, Oct. 14, 3 p.m., Free Play Friday for teens;
  • Saturday, Oct. 15, Drop in Fall Scavenger Hunt, children’s event; noon, Drop-In Digital Literacy Assistance with Literacy CNY; 3 p.m., After Hours Game Day and reception for VIP Gold Cardholders.

The library is open 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday to Thursday; 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Friday; and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
