Jervis hosts Alien Tomato Party Tuesday

ROME — Jervis Public Library, 613 N. Washington St., has announced the following events for this week:
- All week: adult Winter Reading Challenge.
- Monday, Feb. 20, closed for Presidents Day
- Tuesday, Feb. 21, 11 a.m., Teen Snow Sculptures; 1 p.m., Alien Tomato Party — A Stellar Salad Lunch with MVHS, children and teen event: includes a reading of the book "Alien Tomato" by Kristen Schroeder and some alien and salad themed crafts; 5 p.m., Unplug & Play Game Night
- Wednesday, Feb. 22, 10:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., Story Time with Ms. Emily; 2:30 p.m., Teen Volunteer (re)Orientation (registration recommended); 5:30 p.m., Crochet and Knitting Group
- Thursday, Feb. 23, 11 a.m., Black History Month Storytime with NAACP Rome NY Branch; 5:30 p.m., Charcoal Drawing with E98 Art Studio
- Friday, Feb. 24, 3 p.m., Free Play Friday, for teens
- Saturday, Feb. 25, 10:30 a.m., Crochet and Knitting Group; noon, Drop-in Digital Literacy Assistance with Literacy CNY volunteer
The library is open 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday to Thursday; 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Friday; and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
