Jervis Public Library, 613 N. Washington St., has announced the following opportunities to receive free help with computers and technology in February (no registration is required):
Wednesday, Feb. 6, 10 a.m.
Wednesday, Feb. 13, 10 a.m.
Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2:30 p.m.
Thursday, Feb. 28, 2:30 p.m.
Drop-In Tech Help sessions are for people who have questions about using their laptops, tablets, smartphones, or e-book readers. People who have specific questions about devices such as iPhones, iPads, Android tablets, Android phones, Windows phones, Windows tablets, Nooks, Kindles, or laptops are encouraged to drop in with their devices and their questions.
People with questions about the many digital services and resources the library offers are also encouraged to attend.
“We can help people learn to download library ebooks, digital audiobooks, movies, music, and magazines; check their library account; get homework help; learn a language; and use free apps such as Hoopla, Libby, Transparent Language Online, RBDigital Magazines, Bookmyne, and PrinterOn,” Peter Chien, Jervis Library’s chief librarian for public digital literacy, said.
