Jeep crashes into Moose River
WEBB — An Ilion man was ticketed after his Jeep crashed into the Moose River in Herkimer County, according to the Webb Police Department.
Police said Ryan Holleran, of Ilion, was southbound on North Street at about 2 a.m. Sunday when he lost control of his 2012 Jeep due to unsafe speeds. Police said the Jeep went off the roadway and crashed into a snowbank, then hit several trees before crashing into the Moose River.
The Jeep became partially submerged and Holleran and two passengers were able to escape without injury, authorities said. Shufelt's Towing removed the vehicle.
Holleran was ticketed for failure to keep right and unreasonable speed, police said. He is scheduled to appear in Webb Town Court.
