LEE CENTER — James R. Howard, 61 passed away suddenly at his residence on Monday, June 22, 2020.
Affectionately known as Jim, he was born in Constableville, on June 20, 1959, a son of George and Doris M. Pfendler Howard. Jim grew up in the Ava area and attended West Leyden Elementary School, later graduating from Adirondack Central School, Boonville. Thereafter for many years he was employed at area auto parts stores; his last employment was at Rome Parts Supply Co.
Mr. Howard was of the Catholic faith.
He is survived by three brothers; Steve, Boonville, Rick, Ava, Doug, West Branch; two nieces, Sarah Lee and Stacey Platt, both of Boonville and great-nieces and great-nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; George, in 1983 and Doris, in 2016.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Thursday, July 2, 2020, at 10 a.m. at Boonville Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to Lee Center American Legion Post # 9025, 9025 Veteran’s Memorial Highway, Lee Center, NY 13363.
