It’s time to wake up before U.S. becomes another Venezuela

Posted

What caused Venezuela to go from being one of the wealthiest countries in the world, rich in natural resources, to a country where people are fighting for scraps of food? It all began when Hugo Chávez tried to turn Venezuela into a socialist paradise by nationalizing the oil industry and agricultural operations. As a result, the transportation, power generation, telecommunications, steel production and banks prospered and poverty rates fell sharply. Many people saw Chávez as a beloved Robin Hood figure who gave them houses, free health care, better education and a place at the table in government. These actions were carried on by his successor Nicolás Maduro.

Then realization set in and Venezuela went from being one of the wealthiest countries in the world to one of the poorest countries. The country began suffering shortages of basic food needs, rationing of electricity and water. These declines were blamed to be as a result of low oil prices, weather phenomenons, greedy business men, etcetera. It was never blamed on forcing Venezuela to become a socialist country.

The Venezuela situation has happened all over the world where socialist economics took over a country. Some examples are Russia, China, Cuba, North Korea and others. The Democrats are trying to put the United States on the same socialist trail. They are promising us the world and saying it won’t cost the average person anything. All I can say is look at what you are paying for food, gas, clothing, utilities, along with a list of many other things too long to mention today. Don’t try to tell me that it’s not costing me anything as the Biden Administration is telling us. In my opinion the problems are just beginning.

If we keep going on this path of outlandish federal spending that Biden and company want to do, we will become like Venezuela. It is time for us to wake up and put a stop to the Democratic stupidity going on.
