YORKVILLE — The Italian Heritage Club of the Mohawk Valley will present “A Passeggiata in Calabria,” in its Pasta E Passeggiata Series, by distinguished professor Alfred Valentini, on Wednesday, Nov. 14 at Club Monarch, 16 Erie St.
Calabria is a land of ancient history, healthy foods, mountains and turquoise waters in southern Italy.
Registration starts at 5:30 p.m., with dinner to follow at 6 p.m. and then the program. Tickets are $40 per person, $30 for members.
A buffet dinner menu will consist of salad, cheese, artichokes, olives and ‘Nduja with crostini, cannici (filea) pork meat sauce served over cavatappi, stoccofisso (fish) served in tomato sauce with potatoes, capers and olives, eggplant parmigiana, broccoli in olive oil, garlic and lemon, Calabrian dolce, coffee, tea and soda.
There will be a cash bar.
Advance payment is required by Nov. 9.
