If you’re interested in science, technology, engineering and mathematics, MVCC has a treat for you.

A STEM Fest — a celebration of these fields, will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 28, in Wilcox Hall at the Utica Campus of Mohawk Valley Community College.

The event is designed to inspire young people in these specialties and is open to all ages. Admission is free.

For this event, the lobbies of Wilcox Hall will be transformed into a showcase of science, technology, engineering, and math, giving both children and adults a unique, hands-on opportunity to explore virtual reality, human circuits, robot programming, mini drones, DNA modeling, non-Newtonian fluids, and more.

There also will be a special performance of “That Physics Show!” with physics educator and off-Broadway performer David Maiullo, who will bring his scientific “magic” from the world of physics to the stage at 11:30 a.m. in Schafer Theater. Admission to this part of the event is $5. For tickets, visit www.mvcc.edu/tickets<http://www.mvcc.edu/tickets>.

For more information about the event, contact Associate Professor Shahida Dar at sdar@mvcc.edu or 315-792-5633.
