Innovare Advancement Center to host Cybersecurity Summit

ROME — The Manufacturers Association will bring back its Cybersecurity Summit in person this year, to take place from noon to 4 p.m. Thursday at Innovare Advancement Center on Hangar Road.

Keynote speaker will be Dr. Ersin Uzun, executive director of the ESL Global Cybersecurity Institute at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). 

As experts warn of increasing cybercrimes due to COVID-19 and other domestic and global threats, MACNY will hold this educational summit for members and the community to focus on how local companies and organizations can better protect their highly vulnerable business applications and critical infrastructure.

In addition to the keynote, the event will include presentations from industry-leading experts from Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, Secure Network Technologies, Brown & Brown Insurance, Amwins Insurance Brokerage, Bond, Schoeneck & King PLLC and GreyCastle Security and Assured Information Security (AIS).

MACNY is a non-profit association representing more than 300 businesses and organizations across Central/Upstate New York. Members consist of industrial companies, accounting firms, law firms, financial institutions and agencies, and other service provides. 

Innovare Advancement Center is a 150,000 square-foot open innovation hub that converges world-class scientific, engineering, and entrepreneurial talent from universities, government, and industry to tackle new challenges in artificial intelligence, machine learning, cybersecurity, quantum, and unmanned aerial systems.
