The American Heart Association’s 17th annual Rome Run & Indoor Walk and pre-registration event for America’s Greatest Heart Run and Walk is scheduled for 8-11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 9 at Rome Free Academy, 95 Dart Circle.
Registration begins at 8 a.m., with the opening ceremony to follow at 9 a.m.
The event is for heart walk participants, volunteer leadership, heart disease and stroke survivors. Rome Run & Indoor Walk features a heart healthy walk indoors and out of the cold. Runners will have the option to participate in an outdoor 5K as well.
Throughout the morning, Sydney’s Circle will feature music, entertainment and activities, as well as a vendor expo featuring health education, will be open. The event will also feature Red Cap survivor ambassador Jaxon Hayes.
This event is also a pre-registration site for America’s Greatest Heart Run & Walk.
