Indiana puts streak on line vs. Syracuse

Indiana looks for its seventh straight win of the season as it takes on Syracuse. Indiana is looking to extend its current six-game winning streak. Syracuse lost 89-68 to Auburn on Friday.


Syracuse's Buddy Boeheim, Cole Swider and Jimmy Boeheim have collectively scored 57 percent of the team's points this season and have accounted for 58 percent of all Orange scoring over the last five games.BRILLIANT BUDDY: B. Boeheim has connected on 31 percent of the 42 3-pointers he's attempted and has gone 10 for 33 over the last five games. He's also converted 89.2 percent of his free throws this season.


The Hoosiers have recently gotten buckets via assists more often than the Orange. Syracuse has 35 assists on 71 field goals (49.3 percent) over its past three outings while Indiana has assists on 51 of 86 field goals (59.3 percent) during its past three games.


The sturdy Indiana defense has held opponents to just 57.2 points per game, the 20th-lowest in Division I. Syracuse has given up an average of 77.2 points through six games (ranked 205th, nationally).
