Ilion native and NFL coach Angelichio, SU’s McPherson part of Utica football camp
UTICA — Registration continues for the fifth annual “A Call to Men” Football camp for middle school and high school boys late this month at Utica University.
The football camp is sponsored by non-profit organization Kristin’s Fund along with Utica University football coach Blaise Faggiano and team staff.
Guest coaches this year include Ilion High School grad and Minnesota Vikings tight ends coach Brian Angelichio as well as Syracuse University football legend and author Don McPherson. Other officials include Joe Palumbo, Kristin’s Fund founder and college All-American, and Rick Houston from A Call to Men.
The camp is scheduled for Monday, June 27, and Tuesday, June 28. The camp is free and can accommodate 200 boys.
The camp includes two evenings of football skills and drills along with segments about character development and healthy masculinity delivered by the A Call to Men trainers.
