UTICA — Community members and breast cancer survivors are invited to help promote Breast Cancer Awareness Month by creating a human pink ribbon at 12:15 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4 at Murnane Field, across from the Faxton Hospital campus in Utica.

An aerial photo of the ribbon to promote Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October will be taken. Participants are asked to wear dark pink.  There will also be a brief ceremony to honor breast cancer survivors.

Register for the event by going online to mvhealthsystem.org/pinkribbon or call 315-624-HOPE (4673).

The event is sponsored by the Mohawk Valley Health System Cancer Center, the American Cancer Society and Utica Mayor Robert Palmieri.
