Holland Patent seniors Rory Richard and Hanna Corrigan led Section III in goals in girls soccer and field hockey, respectively, for the 2020 season. The area’s top scorer in boys soccer was Westmoreland-Oriskany junior Caleb Miller.
Corrigan led the Golden Knights to a Center State Conference league title with 30 goals and 14 assists. The team was 13-0-1 this season. Her teammate, sophomore Maggie Cummings, was third in Section III with 17 goals. HP senior Anna Healey was second in the section in assists with 11.
Clinton senior Gianna Trunfio was second in the section with 19 goals and third with 10 assists.
Richard scored 25 goals to lead Section III, helping her team to a 9-1 record this season. She had eight assists to give her 33 points, the top total in the section.
Westmoreland senior Mary Muller was seventh in Section III in goals with 15.
Miller scored 18 goals and six assists for the unified Westmoreland-Oriskany team that went 9-4-1 this season. That tied him for fourth in the section in goals scored.
Vernon-Verona-Sherrill senior Jake Pawlika had 14 goals and 11 assists.
