Holland Patent’s Hannah Rossi tossed a complete game no-hitter against host Little Falls in a 7-1 win Wednesday in the Center State Conference.
Rossi allowed an unearned run on no hits, no walks and a hit batter. She struck out 14. She also had two hits including a triple at the plate.
HP’s Ella Armitage had a hit and drove in two runs. Emery Crossley had a single and triple with a run scored. Maggie Cummings doubled, scored twice and drove in a run. Terralyn McLaughlin and Bella Makarchuk each had a hit and an RBI.
Maria Battisti went the distance for the Mounties, allowing seven runs, four earned, on 12 hits and two walks. She struck out nine.
HP hosts Sherburne-Earlville at 4:30 p.m. Friday in the league.
Millington powers Westmo to victory
Autumn Millington was 4-for-4 with a double and triple as well as four RBIs in the Westmoreland softball team’s 15-2 win at Waterville Wednesday in the Center State.
Samantha Wilson had a single and double, an RBI and scored twice for the Bulldogs. Payton Kingwater was 2-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs. Samantha Ferguson singled, doubled and drove in two with a run scored. Grace Chrysler had two hits and an RBI.
In the circle, Ferguson went the distance for the win. She allowed a pair of unearned runs on four hits and a walk. She struck out five.
Paige Cornish had a double, an RBI and scored a run for Waterville.
Gracie Beach took the loss, allowing 10 earned runs in four innings on 10 hits and seven walks. She struck out five.
Westmoreland hosts Sauquoit Valley in the league at 2 p.m. Saturday.
Three RFA players net hat tricks in win
The Rome Free Academy girls lacrosse team got hat tricks from Alexandra Tapia, Amelia Furbeck and Fiona McMahon in an 18-3 win at Vernon-Verona-Sherrill in the Tri-Valley League Wednesday.
Furbeck and McMahon each had an assist as well for four-point games. Drew Kopek scored a pair of goals. Danielle D’Aiuto, Giavonna Cianfrocco and Isibeal McMahon all had a goal and an assist. Also scoring a goal each were Shannen Calandra, Ellyza Minicozzi, Alexis Crever and Jenavieve Cianfrocco. Alyssa Nardslico and Alanna Fragapane each collected an assist.
Alana Iacovissi made five saves in net for RFA. Hannah Lowder also played, allowing two goals on two shots.
For VVS, Sierra Kinne, Carmella Garcia and Sofia Sherwood scored a goal each. Gabrielle Miller had an assist.
In net for the Red Devils, Kaitlyn Kinne had four saves and Abbriana Albro had three stops.
RFA is now 9-3 overall and 6-0 in the TVL. The Black Knights hosted Syracuse in non-league play Thursday. Results were not available at press time.

Spartans best Black Knights on the links
The New Hartford boys golf team defeated host RFA Wednesday 205 to 260 at Rome Country Club in the TVL.
Cam Jenkins medaled for New Hartford with a 37. Also scoring were Rocco Macera (41), Garrett Eisenhunt (42), Jake Martyniuk (42) and Wil Trela (43).
RFA’s medalist was Lenny Dormio, who shot a 49. Also scoring were Michael Occhipinti (51), Jamie Stolo (51), Landon Piersma (53) and Cooper Engelbert (56).
New Hartford is now 8-0 and travels to TVL foe Whitesboro at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Hidden Valley Golf Course.
RFA, 3-4, plays at Whitesboro at 3:30 p.m. Friday in the league.
VVS wins golf tri-match
The Vernon-Verona-Sherrill boys golf team outscored Central Valley Academy and Utica Notre Dame in a tri-match Wednesday it hosted at Oneida Commuity Golf Course in the TVL.
The Red Devils’ medalist was Caleb Decker, who shot a one-under 35. Also scoring were Wyatt Falkenmeyer (45), Ethan Killina (48), Matt Hicks (49) and Keaton Fox (49).
Leading CVA was Nolan Tutty with a 44. Also scoring were Connor Tutty (49), Matt Urtz (49), Casey Metott (49) and Derek Newtown (51).
Notre Dame’s medalist was John Leograde with a 52. Also scoring were Santino Alsante (61), Joey Raccioppa (63), Casimin Kaquza (64) and Josiah Hodkinson (68).
VVS, now 5-3, travels to McConnellsville Golf Club to play TVL foe Camden at 3:30 p.m. Friday.
CVA, now 5-3, hosts Oneida at Doty’s Golf Course at 3:30 p.m. Friday.

NY Mills golfers top Westmo
The Westmoreland boys golf team fell to New York Mills 213 to 237 on the road at Twin Ponds Golf Club Wednesday in the Center State.
Jaydon Dietz shot a one-over 36 to medal for the host Marauders. Also scoring were Joe Odarchuk (52), Sean Clifford (57) and Nate Dzwonkowski (68).
Westmoreland’s medalist was Jeremy Riggles with a 50. Also scoring were David Huyck (56), Jaxon Magnusson (63) and James Gleason (68).
Westmoreland falls to 1-6 and 1-5 in the league. The Bulldogs host Clinton in the league at 3:30 p.m. Monday.
Adirondack golfers outshoot Remsen and Little Falls
Adirondack hosted Remsen and Little Falls in a Center State Conference North tri-match at Woodgate Pines Wednesday. The Wildcats scored a 175 and both opponents each shot a 186.
Adirondack’s medalist was Sam Andrews, who fired a 38. Also scoring were Jorden Rivette (44), David Kelsey (46) and Afton (47).
Remsen’s medalist was Brian Secor with a 38. Also scoring were Ellie Secor (45), Ean Piaschyk (50) and Jaden Prosser (53).
For Little Falls, Anthony Zysk medaled with a 46. Also scoring were Galen Straney (49), James Longwell (56) and Rylee Regan (60).
Adirondack is now 9-1 and 7-1 in the league. The Wildcats played at Little Falls against the Mounties and the Town of Webb Thursday. Results were not available at press time.

Jugglers get golf victory
The Utica Notre Dame girls golf team got a win 2-1 to 236 over visiting Central Valley Academy at Twin Ponds Wednesday in the TVL.
Notre Dame’s Sara Papaple medaled with a 44. Kamryn Yerman shot a 47.
CVA medalist Delany Raffle had a 54. Gabby Bouck shot a 60.

Oneida wins in girls golf
The Oneida girls golf team got a win over host Holland Patent Wednesday at Camroden Golf Course. Oneida scored a 233 and HP had an incomplete score.
Oneida’s medalist was Stella Davis with a 48.
HP medalist Pazia Grocholski shot a 45.
Oneida improves to 2-6 and hosts Utica Notre Dame at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Old Erie Golf Club.
HP travels to Rome Country Club to play RFA at 3:30 p.m. Friday.
VVS edges out RFA in tennis
The VVS boys tennis team got a 3-2 win against host RFA Wednesday in the TVL.
Nolan Robinson, Tyler Kinne and Cole Maguire won for VVS in singles.
RFA won both doubles matches. The winning pairs were Chase Ferary and Philip Pociecha and Gavin Civitelli and Noah Artigiani.
RFA is now 4-5, and 2-3 in the league. The Knights hosted Utica Proctor in the league Thursday. Results were not available at press time.
VVS, 8-4 and 3-1, hosted Oneida in the TVL Thursday. Results were not available at press time.
Oneida tennis wins again
The Oneida boys tennis team continued its TVL dominance with a 4-1 win at home over Whitesboro Wednesday.
Oneida’s Robert Paul and Jack Capotosto won singles matches.
Whitesboro’s Zach Ellis also won in singles.
Oneida won both doubles matches. Winning were the duos of Spencer Ingmire and Drew Hicks and Seth O’Connell and Ryan Lusher.
Oneida, 10-1 and 5-0 in the league, traveled to VVS in the league Thursday. Results were not available at press time.
Whitesboro finishes the regular season at 2-9 and 0-6.
Clinton tennis wins close one
The Clinton boys tennis team got a 3-2 win over visiting Mount Markham Wednesday in the Center State.
Clinton’s Jason River, Izzy Marcus and Dakota Fedor all won in singles.
Clinton improved to 4-8 overall and 2-4 in the league. The Warriors hosted Little Falls in a non-league contest Thursday. Results were not available at press time.
HP tennis blanks Sauquoit
The Holland Patent boys tennis team took all five matches at home against Sauquoit Valley in the Center State Wednesday.
Winning in singles for the Golden Knights were Jeffrey Dewar, Dylan McGuire and William Zimmerman.
The winning duos for HP were Glen Gaige and Carter Williams and Daniel Carhart and Sawyer Locke.
HP improves to 12-1, 5-0 in the league. The Knights travel to Little Falls for a league match at 4 p.m. Friday.
Sauquoit falls to 6-5, 2-3 in the league.
The Indians will wrap up its regular season at 4:30 p.m. Friday hosting Cooperstown.
