Holland Patent man charged in alleged choking incident
FLOYD — A 28-year-old man is accused of choking a woman until she blacked out at a residence on Asher Drive early Monday morning, according to the Oneida County Sheriff's Office.
Sheriff's deputies said Joshua M. Williams, of Holland Patent, choked the woman during a dispute at bout 6:30 a.m. Monday. Deputies said the woman was taken to a local hospital for treatment of her injuries.
Williams is charged with second-degree strangulation, a class D felony, and third-degree assault, a misdemeanor, authorities stated. Williams is scheduled to appear in court.
