UTICA — Mohawk Valley Performing Arts (MVPA) presents its annual tradition of “The Nutcracker,” led once again by Artistic Director Melissa Larish.

This year’s public performances are at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2 and Saturday, Dec. 3 and at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec 4.

The cast includes more than 100 children and teens from 11 area dance schools. This wonderful mix means this production is always fresh.

Audience members who count “The Nutcracker” among their favorite holiday traditions can be assured that the Mohawk Valley Performing Arts production will always have many familiar elements year to year. At the same time, it is also always evolving with a unique blend of talented performers from year to year.

A special addition to this year’s performance includes intermission entertainment by pianist, Ben Kidwell playing an array of holiday classics.

Tickets are available at the Stanley Box office by calling 315-724-4000 or visiting www.thestanley.org.

The Mohawk Valley Performing Arts invite the community to come and get lost in one of the most famous holiday classics and kick off their holiday season with their 48th production of “The Nutcracker.”
