Lauren Robinson has joined the Oneida County History Center as a digital archivist, managing and assisting in efforts to create and organize digital files for all collections materials including photographs, artifacts, documents, manuscripts, and newspapers.
The part-time position is funded by an anonymous donor to facilitate the History Center’s ongoing digitization efforts.
Robinson is an Ilion native and a graduate of Utica College. She is pursuing a master of library information science degree online through the University of Southern Mississippi and works part-time at the Ilion Free Public Library. She previously worked at the History Center as a summer intern in 2018 and rejoined the organization in February 2019.
The Oneida County History Center, formerly the Oneida County Historical Society, is a private not-for-profit educational institution dedicated to preserving history and promoting the culture of the Greater Mohawk Valley.
Admission to bookstore and exhibit gallery is free for the general public; donations are encouraged.
