Herkimer Jr./Sr. High School students win award, ‘Excellent’ rating at Six Flags New England
HERKIMER — The Herkimer Junior/Senior High School Symphonic Band and Chamber Choir both received “Excellent” ratings at the Music in the Parks competition April 22 at Six Flags New England in Agawam, Mass.
Herkimer students were also presented with the Esprit de Corps award for overall presentation at the event.
Additionally, Herkimer student Caitlin Berg won an individual award for student accompanist.
Herkimer Junior/Senior High School band teacher Terry Gordon and choir teacher William Paddock led the students for their trip and performance, according to the announcement.
