WHITESTOWN — Oneida County’s 23rd annual Herb & Flower Festival, hosted by Cornell Cooperative Extension, is set for Saturday, June 15.
There will be blooms and abundant plants for sale. The annual event is sponsored by the extension’s Master Gardener Volunteer program. It is held at the extension’s Parker F. Scripture Botanical Gardens located at the Oneida County Farm & Home Center, 121 Second St.
The festival hours run from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., which includes four classes for gaining new gardening knowledge, and nearly 50 garden merchants selling abundant plants including trees, shrubs, flowers, vegetables and herbs. Also, there is array of artful and helpful items related to gardening available for purchase.
The Master Gardener booth offers information on a great variety of topics and the chance to ask very specific gardening questions.
The Botanical Gardens at the Cornell Cooperative Extension are carefully created to showcase plants for enjoyment, learning and use for our community.
