WHITESBORO — The Greater Utica Chamber of Commerce is honoring Harold “Tom” Clark Jr., Chairman of Adirondack Bank and President of Mac-Clark Restaurants as their 33rd annual Business Person of the Year on Thursday, Oct. 17.
The evening celebration is being held at Hart’s Hill Inn at 135 Clinton St., Whitesboro from 5:30-8 p.m.
The “Business Person of the Year” Award is given to one or more individuals who have shown exemplary service to the Chamber and/or community. The purpose of this award is to focus on those who are dedicated to improving and impacting the business climate of the Greater Utica Area. This year, the Chamber will honor Clark.
Clark is a Central New York native, a highly successful businessman, entrepreneur, and philanthropist. Clark’s company, MacClark Restaurants, owns 24 McDonald’s franchises in Oneida and Herkimer Counties. He has received several awards for his involvement with McDonald’s Children’s Charities and he has made many generous contributions towards programs and resources for children and adults with special needs in the local community and beyond. He is a 1965 graduate of Utica College, and holds an honorary Doctor of Laws Degree in appreciation for his long and dedicated service to his alma mater. Clark is also the Chairman of Adirondack Bank. He has served on the boards of several community organizations and businesses.
At the event on Oct. 17, colleagues, family, and friends will join together to celebrate Clark’s accomplishments and contributions to the Greater Utica area.
