Harassment, mischief among charges in incident at smoke shop
ROME — A 30-year-old man was taken into custody for the second time this week on Thursday for causing damage at Vic’s Smoke Shop on Floyd Avenue in Rome, according to the Rome Police Department.
Police said Lorenzo Dugger, of Rome, threw a bundle of logs at a window at Vic’s Smoke Shop in the 900 block of Floyd Ave. at about 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
Police said a customer spotted this and started fighting with Dugger so that he wouldn’t throw the bundle a second time.
Dugger punched the customer several times, police stated.
Dugger left the scene for a short moment before returning with a snow shovel and smashing the glass on the front door of the shop, police said.
Dugger is charged with one count each of second-degree harassment and fourth-degree mischief, police said.
He is scheduled to appear in Rome City Court, the law enforcement officials said.
According to police records, Dugger was charged on Sunday, June 26 with smashing a window with a tree branch at Park Drive Manor II.
