Hamilton College freshman Peyton Sichol has been selected to compete in the 2023 NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championship at Mission Inn Resort & Club in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla.

The event will be held from Tuesday, May 9, to Friday, May 12. Following 54 holes of competition, the field will be cut to the top 15 teams and top six individuals not on one of those teams to compete on the final day.

Sichol is the first women's golfer in the NCAA championship since it became a varsity sport at Hamilton for the 2012-13 season. She is one of six individuals not from the 29 qualifying teams picked to participate in the championship.

In 18 rounds this season Sichol has averaged 77.78 strokes for 18 holes. She has finished in the top 10 in six tournaments this season including Middlebury College's George Phinney Classic where she was the individual medalist in early October 2022.

Sichol and the Continentals already played at Mission Inn Resort & Club in September when they competed in the Division III Fall Preview. Sichol had an impressive performance, as she landed in 10th place out of 94 golfers with a 36-hole total of 151, including a team-leading 74 in the final round.
