Hamilton College's Griff selected to play in NCAA men's tennis championships
Hamilton College sophomore Connor Griff has been selected to play in the singles competition of the 2023 NCAA Division III men's tennis championships at the U.S. Tennis Association National Campus in Orlando, Fla.
The men's individual championships begin on Thursday, May 18, and run through Sunday, May 21. Griff is one of 32 singles players in the individual championships and six selections are from NESCAC schools. The singles draw will be released sometime after 1 p.m. on May 17.
Griff has a 19-7 record this season and won seven of 10 matches against conference opponents. He won four matches and advanced to the semifinals of the singles draw in the 2022 Intercollegiate Tennis Association Men's Division III Northeast Regional Championships back in early October.
Griff also has been selected for the 2023 New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) men's tennis all-conference team. Griff was voted to the singles first team. He is one of six singles players on the first team and is the first Hamilton player on the all-NESCAC team since at least 2001.
