The Hamilton College Continentals are ranked 20th in the 2023 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Division III Top 25 preseason poll.

Hamilton also finished last season at No. 20 in the final poll after the Continentals posted an 8-7 overall record that included a 5-5 mark in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC). Hamilton returns nine starters from last year's team, including 2022 all-America defender Meghan Lane. The junior has been selected for USA Lacrosse Magazine's 2023 Women's Division III Preseason All-America Team.

The Continentals are one of seven ranked teams from the NESCAC in the preseason poll. Hamilton opens the 2023 season on Saturday, March 4 at Amherst College, which received votes in the preseason poll. The Continentals' home opener is Saturday, March 11 against No. 15 Bowdoin College.
