Hamilton College senior Katlynn McGivney has been selected for the 2023 New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Softball All-Conference Team.

McGivney, who is on the all-NESCAC team for the first time, was voted on to the first team as a catcher/utility player. She is one of 22 athletes honored on the all-conference team.

McGivney leads the NESCAC with a .476 batting average, .522 on-base percentage, and 20 stolen bases, is tied for first with 60 hits, is second with 46 runs scored, ninth with a 1.030 OPS, and tied for 16th with 10 walks. McGivney started all 37 games she played in and added four doubles and 14 runs batted in. In the field she made one error in 125 total chances for a .992 fielding percentage. She smashed the team single-season records for runs, hits and stolen bases.

McGivney finished her 69-game Hamilton career with a .403 batting average, 94 hits, 74 runs, 42 stolen bases and 24 runs batted in. She's the team's all-time leader in stolen bases and in fielding percentage at .992 with two errors in 261 total chances.

McGivney helped the Continentals to a 19-20 overall record, including 7-11 in the conference. Hamilton leads the NESCAC in stolen bases, is second in runs and hits, and is third in batting average and on-base percentage.
