Gunshot to leg sends Utica man to hospital
UTICA — One man was hospitalized with a gunshot wound to his thigh in Utica early Thursday morning, according to the Utica Police Department.
Police said a man was shot in the upper thigh near Hobart and Steuben streets sometime before 5 a.m. Thursday. The man was found at a residence in the 1200 block of Elm Street a short time later and he was taken to a Utica hospital with non-life threatening injuries, authorities said.
A search of the area found three spent shell casings in the 100 block of Hobart Street, police stated.
No arrests have been made so far.
