Group to host congressional candidate
UTICA — The Oneida-Herkimer Chapter of SCOPE (Shooters Committee on Political Education) will host 22nd Congressional District candidate Brandon Williams at its meeting at 7 p.m., Monday, Aug. 8, in the downstairs hall of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Club. Williams, a retired Navy veteran and entrepreneur, will share his views on the Second Amendment and take questions during the meeting. Individuals do not have to be a member of the organization to attend as all meetings are open to the public.
SCOPE is a non-partisan, statewide organization dedicated to preserving the Second Amendment rights of residents. Oneida-Herkimer SCOPE hosts candidates and elected officials at each of its meetings, allowing the public to hear directly from them. It does not endorse candidates.
