Griffo, Senate majority leader tour security training center, Utica Aud
The New York State Homeland Security Training Center in Whitestown and the Utica Memorial Auditorium were among sites toured by state Senate Majority John Flanagan and state Sen. Joseph A. Griffo.
Their stop at the auditorium included attending the Utica Comets hockey game against the Belleville Senators, Griffo’s office said Friday.
“We appreciate Majority Leader Flanagan returning to the area and for his interest in the region,” said Griffo, R-47, Rome.
“This visit allowed us to highlight the developments and opportunities that exist here and to demonstrate how the financial investment from the state has been a part of the region’s growth.”
Flanagan, R-2, Suffolk County, said “I’m pleased to be spending a day visiting important sites in the Mohawk Valley....I look forward to hearing about the challenges facing the Mohawk Valley and working with Senator Griffo to address them.”
