A workshop on “Blockchain & Cloud Chain-of-Custody” will be presented by the Griffiss Institute and the Cyber Research Institute on Thursday from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at Griffiss Institute, 725 Daedalian Drive.
The cost to attend is $15 and includes lunch. Interested parties are asked to register at www.griffissinstitute.org/dineanddevelopment online.
The presentation will include “a cloud-based data provenance framework using blockchain which traces data record operations and generates provenance data,” the Griffiss Institute said.
The speaker will be Val Red, a cyber integration program manager at the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) Information Directorate in Rome. He oversees research and development under the Disruptive Information Technologies effort.
The event is sponsored by the NYSTEC technology consulting company. It is part of the Dine & Development Training Series, which brings together local businesses, AFRL researchers, and academia to inform the area business and research community on technology-driven topics of common interest. The series also is to promote business development by providing networking opportunities among researchers and attendees.
