Grey Fox calling for local artists to participate in Cider and Clay exhibit

NEW HARTFORD — Grey Fox Mercantile, 70 Genesee St., is calling for local art submissions for its next Cider and Clay exhibit, which will feature handcrafted ceramic works in the form of functional mugs.

Artists are encouraged to share mugs with unique forms, textures and surface or structural design.

The exhibit is free to enter, and it is not juried. Artists may submit up to two mugs.

Registration forms must be submitted by Sept. 29 at https://greyfoxfelting.com/event/call-for-art-handmade-mugs/. Work must be received by Oct. 2.

The exhibit will run Oct. 5 through Dec. 3. Cider and Clay will open with a reception from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5.

The shop will provide locally made apple cider and authentic cider doughnuts. Guests will have the opportunity to purchase the mugs in the show and fill them with apple cider.

Grey Fox Mercantile hours are Wednesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
