CANASTOTA —The Great Swamp Conservancy’s annual two-day Christmas Tree Sale kicks off Sunday, Dec. 7 and Saturday, Dec. 8 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Fresh cut Basalm trees will be available, repurposed holiday decor will be for sale and Santa Claus will be swinging by for a visit.
Balsam trees have soft needles, a great needle retention and are very fragrant. Shop for gently used and repurposed Christmas decor, bird related ornaments and other nature gifts. Come visit with Santa, Saturday only, Dec. 7 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Swamp Snappers Camera Club will be there to take photos of children and pets in the museum building.
Children can create a gift or craft for someone special or for the birds. Warm up by the woodstove and enjoy hot cocoa, coffee and cookies.
Donations of Christmas decor may be dropped off at the Great Swamp Conservancy anytime by leaving them on the front porch of the office.
This Great Swamp Conservancy fundraiser is to benefit the Nature Centers conservation efforts.
