CANASTOTA — Families and friends are invited to venture into the great outdoors this winter with cross-country skiing and snowshoeing on the trails of the Great Swamp Conservancy.

Cross-country skis and snowshoes are available for rent seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The cost is $5 per person or free for GSC members.

The public is also invited to come and explore the wonders of winter with guided nature walks through GSC trails on Wednesday, Jan. 18 and Wednesday, Jan 25.

This hour long environmental excursion will take patrons through GSC trails while sparking discussion and conservation about the park, nature, and more.

The educational walks will be led by a GSC educator from 11 a.m. to noon and are free for all ages.
