ROME — Sovena Group, the largest olive oil company in the world based in Rome, recently obtained the SILVER level of the Farm Sustainability Assessment (FSA) for all its olive groves. This is a huge milestone for the company, as it makes them the first olive grower in the world to join this international benchmark.

FSA is an environmental, social and economic sustainability assessment tool created by SAI Platform, a community of more than 150 companies that collaborate to promote sustainable agricultural practices.

Sovena Group – along with Nutrifarms, who manages its olive groves – is one of the world leaders in the olive oil sector and the only company in the world that integrates its entire value chain, from the olive grove and mill to packaging and distribution.

Recently, Sovena USA was accredited by the International Olive Council (IOC) for the chemical testing of olive oils for the 11th time.
