The 3-G Fire Department has finally brought home their brand new truck, which they had to travel to Pennsylvania to get. The new vehicle, a 2021 Ford f550 mini pumper, replaces a 1980s Ford water-van. Be sure to come see the beautiful new truck, which will be in the Lewis County Fair parade on Tuesday, July 19.

There is a 2013 Cub Cadet 50’ cut lawn mower for sale on Greig Road in Glenfield. If interested, contact Chris Spear at 786-650-5399.

The Brantingham Community Association will be conducting a Boating and Personal Water Safety Course from 4:45 to 9 p.m. on Monday, June 27 and Tuesday, June 28. The course will take place at the Howard G. Sackett Technical Center (BOCES) in Glenfield. Students must attend both dates to pass the exam. Pre-registration is required. If interested, call 315-376-5270 or email Mike Leviker at tugmike704@hotmail.com. Registrants must be at least 10 years of age by June 27. Students 18 and older will need to pay a $10 fee for their permanent boating safety certificate, payable to NYS Parks, in addition to any course fees charged by the instructor. Students under 18 will not have to pay a certificate fee, but there may be a course fee charged by the instructor. This course is required to operate a jet-ski (in addition to being at least 14 years of age); the BCA recommends that students read Brianna’s Law on required education by year to operate a power-driven vessel.

The Brantingham Snowmobile Club Inc. will be having a drive-thru chicken barbecue from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. (or until sold out) on Saturday, July 2. Dinners are $12, and include chicken, baked beans, macaroni salad, and a roll; halves are $8. The barbecue will be at the groomer barn, located at 7761 Brantingham Road. For more information, contact Douglas Dietrich at 315-376-6689, or dmdietrich59@gmail.com.

Happy birthday to my sister, Katherine Olmstead, who turns 26 years old on Wednesday, June 22.
