On Wednesday, June 26, I had the opportunity to talk with Dave Halpin, the DemocratIc candidate for mayor. During conversation, Dave expressed concern for our city pertaining to businesses that are needed, fixing our infrastructure, reducing taxes and restoring integrity and accountability to City Hall. Public meetings need to be posted at least a day in advance so residents can plan on attending.
It seems the posting appears the day of an actual meeting. Could this be a way to encounter less opposition? Our streets are horrible due to pot holes such as East Garden Street, Black River Boulevard, Potter Road and upper West Liberty Street. I feel confident that Dave Halpin will be an asset to our city. The taxpayers deserve to be heard, and Dave will not turn a deaf ear to their concerns. Give this candidate, Dave Halpin, the chance to prove his worth. Elect Halpin for mayor.
