TOWN OF WESTERN — Town of Western Historical Society will host the Ghost Seekers of Central New York for a program on, “Are There Ghosts and Spirits in the Western Town Hall,” at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8 at the town hall on Main Street.

The Ghost Seekers of Central New York, using specialized scanners, investigated Liberty Hall for the presence of spirits.

The Ghost Seekers of Central New York, paranormal investigators, will present their findings at the Town of Western Historical Society’s November meeting. They will also discuss other locations they have investigated in the “Haunted Mohawk Valley.”

Liberty Hall formerly was the Empire Hotel in the village of Delta. As the village was being inundated in the early 1900s to make way for the Delta Lake reservoir, the structure was dismantled and reassembled in Westernville, where it now serves as the town hall. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
