Gentle Yoga class every Monday at Oneida YMCA
ONEIDA — People are invited to experience the joy of stretching and mindfulness during Gentle Yoga, a new class offered at the Oneida branch of the YMCA of the Greater Tri-Valley.
Instructor Chris Crandall will lead the group every Monday from 5:15 to 6 p.m. Classes are free for YMCA members. Non-members can participate by purchasing a day pass at the welcome desk. Adult passes are $15.
“This yoga class is designed with gentle poses to give the entire body a good stretch,” said Oneida YMCA Health and Fitness Coordinator Madison Robinson. “In addition, the class incorporates specific yoga poses to aid the lymphatic system to help the body work to improve your overall health.”
For information about this class or other classes offered at the YMCA of the Greater Tri-Valley, contact Madison at mrobinson@ymcatrivalley.org or go online to www.ymcatrivalley.org. Not a member of the YMCA? The YMCA welcomes everyone who wishes to participate, regardless of ability to pay. Financial assistance is available through the YMCA of the Greater Tri-Valley’s Changing Lives Financial Assistance program.
The program provides assistance to youths, adults and families based on individual needs and circumstances. In addition, the YMCA of the Greater Tri-Valley participates in Nationwide Membership. Active, full-time members have access to other YMCA facilities, while traveling or on vacation, with a valid membership card and ID.
The YMCA of the Greater Tri-Valley serves the greater Rome, Oneida and Whitesboro areas with programs and services for the whole family. We are a 501c3 charitable non-profit organization with two primary branches in Rome and Oneida and school-age childcare in the Whitesboro area. The Y’s mission is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind, and body for all.
